Have you ever tried to use the Alt + Tab keyboard shortcut only to be surprised when it took you to the last app you were using rather than the last thing you were doing?
Multitasking improvements in Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge – Microsoft Edge Blog
As someone frequently finds themselves with many tabs open, navigating between them can become frustrating. The back and forth of clicking tabs with the mouse, trying to find the right one, and potentially closing some by mistake creates mental overload. That is why Edge’s Alt+Tab for tabs feature is a game changer that has me questioning my loyalty to Chrome.
For those unfamiliar with Alt+Tab, it’s a keyboard shortcut that allows you to switch between open windows. It’s a quick and efficient way to change between programs, and Edge has brought this same functionality to browser tabs. With Alt-Tab for Edge tabs, you can cycle through your open tabs using the same time-saving shortcut. A quick Alt+Tab will take you to the most recent tab. Holding down Alt and pressing Tab repeatedly will cycle through tabs in reverse chronological order, enabling access to older tabs. You can change the number of tabs shown.

After experiencing this convenient capability, going back to the tiresome tab-clicking seems unappealing. While I weigh the pros and cons of transitioning to Edge as my primary browser, Alt+Tab for tabs is a compelling reason to commit to this fling and see where things lead. If easy tab navigation is a top priority, as it is for my frequently tab-abundant browsing, Edge has a killer feature sure to win others over as well.
