This phrase coined by Bill Gates in a 1996 essay still holds true today. Quality content is crucial for small businesses to attract and engage customers, establish credibility and authority, and improve search engine rankings. But, Is AI-Generated Content Against Google’s Guidelines?

In a recent post on Search Engine Journal, John Mueller, a senior search analyst at Google, stated that AI-generated content is considered spam and violates Google’s webmaster guidelines:
…for us it’s still automatically generated content, and that means for us it’s still against the Webmaster Guidelines. So we would consider that to be spam.

Currently it’s all against the webmaster guidelines. So from our point of view, if we were to run across something like that, if the webspam team were to see it, they would see it as spam.
